Dr. Graham

Dr. Akili Graham was born in Riverside, California but matriculated at Prairie View A & M University for his undergraduate training. He attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee before returning to Houston for residency at University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Graham has practiced medicine in Houston at a federally funded health facility and began his own private practice in 2003. Being traditionally trained in allopathic, western medicine, he has concluded that a medical society with the most doctors, most medications, best technologies and the most medical facilities is not producing adequate results. Studying wholistic and alternative therapies has led his desire to offer his patients more options. Dr. Graham has been doing a series of seminars called the How To series for approximately 4 years now. These seminars include: How to Eat to Live, How to Shop to Live, How to Cook to Live, How to Exercise to Live, How to deal with Stress and How to Be a Teen. In addition, he has been actively involved in the community by speaking to religious and community organizations, schools, promoting a mentorship program for children without active fathers in their lives and prison reform. Dr. Akili Graham continues to make himself available to the community for he believes that prevention is worth much more than doctor bills!!!
